PerfectPaint^® Floating Floor Prep

PerfectPaint^® seals mastics and prepares your floor for new floating floor systems without the lengthy, expensive process of asbestos abatement. Install new carpet, LVP, and floating floors, or use alone as a walkable painted surface.

PerfectPaint^® is a complete sealer, paint, and primer in one. It can be applied directly over any clean surface including asbestos mastics,
or cutback glues, to prepare them for new luxury vinyl plank, carpet, and other floating floors. No scraping, grinding, solvents, soy gels or removal of mastics required. PerfectPaint^® saves time and money by reducing surface prep time, labor, and expense.

How to use PerfectPaint:

Clean floor using a mop or deck brush using PerfectCleaner as per instructions. Mop again using clean water and allow to visibly dry.

Patch or level the floor using our PerfectLeveler or a modified patching cement of your choice. Small holes and cracks may be filled with an acrylic caulk.

When floor is visibly dry, apply your first coat using a 1/2” roller. Do not allow product to puddle. Apply material without thinning. Once dry to the touch, apply the second coat. Allow 24-48 hours to dry. Full cure will take 5 days.

Note: PerfectPaint® is suitable for use as a standalone paint only in areas of light foot traffic. For heavier use areas, use PaintPlus, our hard-wearing finish coat.
